But he may layer in an expert in delegate hunting now that he's in a county-by-county knife fight. 2) Bolder message: Look for him to stop saying he wants to "replace" Obama and start saying he will "defeat" Obama. 3) Focus more on the President: General election will be an uphill fight, and he can't afford to wait. And by trying to marginalize Santorum, Romney hopes to make it a self-fulfilling prophecy. 4) Stress delegate math - not an inspiring message. But, hey, you work with what you gots. 5) Focus more on his economic plan: tax reduction, oil and gas development in the U.S., spending cuts.
