WHY DOES LOBBYIST ALTMIRE SUPPORT THE BALANCED BUDGET AMENDMENT: HE DOESN'T HAVE THE COURAGE TO MAKE TOUGH DECISIONS.
A balanced budget requires our Representative to get his hands dirty. He either has to cut Medicare benefits for our seniors or cut the profit margins of Big Healthcare. Defense spending may need to be cut. Taxes may need to be raised on those that can afford tax increases. These are all difficult decisions, which may have unintended devastatingly bad consequences. Lobbyist Altmire hates difficult decisions. He would rather some Super Committee dictate what he must do. Do we really need a representative who wants to hide behind a Balanced Budget amendment to get the job done for us?
